Turn sheet materials into finished objects.

The P2S combines a 55 W CO₂ laser with an enclosed workspace and two cameras for positioning designs. Its working area supports projects such as layered signs, fitted organisers and personalised objects. Clear acrylic is an important material difference from a diode laser: the P2S can cut it as well as suitable coloured acrylic and wood.

Plan the process around the material

Use the camera view to arrange a design, then test the settings on the actual material before producing the finished piece. Rotary and larger-object projects need the appropriate accessories and clearance. Plan extraction, cooling-system setup and supervised operation from the start; the enclosure does not remove these requirements. LightBurn is supported for basic operation, but its camera and autofocus support differs from xTool’s software.

Use only materials approved by the manufacturer; never leave a running laser unattended.
Operator training and fire precautions must be reviewed before use.
Use only materials approved for the P2S; composition and coatings matter.
RA2 Pro rotary work requires the compatible connection and sufficient working clearance; a riser may be required.

Product questions

Can the P2S cut clear acrylic?

Yes. xTool lists clear and coloured acrylic as supported cutting materials. Use settings appropriate to the exact sheet and thickness.

Can it cut metal or glass?

No. xTool lists glass and certain coated or treated metals for engraving, not cutting. Check the process required for the specific surface.

Do I need extraction?

Yes. Connect the exhaust system as instructed and use a suitable extraction or filtration arrangement. Supervise the machine throughout operation.

Can I use LightBurn?

Yes, but xTool states that camera and autofocus functions are not supported in LightBurn for the P2S. Follow its guidance for framing and setting material thickness.
