Makeblock · Coding robots
mBot Ranger uses one set of aluminium parts to build three different robots: the tracked Land Raider, wheeled Dashing Raptor and self-balancing Nervous Bird. Changing the arrangement gives learners a practical way to compare stability, steering and movement. The Me Auriga controller, encoder motors and sensors connect each mechanical build to a program that can react to its surroundings.
Start with a guided build and a short movement sequence in mBlock, then develop line-following, obstacle-response or balancing activities. The controller also measures light, sound, temperature and motion, providing useful inputs for experiments beyond driving. Parts are reused between the three models, so the kit makes one robot at a time; batteries and additional expansion parts are supplied separately.

mBot Ranger
No. The Land Raider, Dashing Raptor and Nervous Bird reuse parts from the same kit. Build and program one model, then rebuild it for a different activity.
No. Provide six AA batteries or a compatible optional rechargeable pack before starting motorised activities.
No. Ranger is a separate kit built around the Me Auriga controller. mBot2 Rover uses the mBot2 and its Rover add-on parts; the kits and controllers are different.
Start with visual blocks in mBlock, then use Arduino C/C++ for more advanced work. Ranger is not the CyberPi-based mBot2 platform.
Yes. The reusable chassis parts, motors, sensors and fasteners are assembled into the chosen model. Tools and build instructions support the process.
